Burnt Garlic Spinach Rice with Vegetables in Hunan sauce
Burnt garlic fried rice is a very popular indo- chinese food served in many chinese restaurant.
This spinach vesion is light, packs in nutrition with green goodness.
The preparation of burnt garlic rice is slightly distinct from regular fried rice, it has nutty flavour of burnt garlic which is not burnt actually but sauteed till brown.
I put aside this crispy golden brown garlic so that i can sprinkle on the top.
Stir fried vegetables, spinach, light soy sauce, black pepper, burnt garlic and salt; all together lends exciting flavour to this rice.
Spring onions and burnt garlic sprinkled on the top just before serving.
I needed a quick gravy dish to accompany this rice, so I decided to make vegetables in hunan sauce.Hunan sauce is a mixture of ginger-garlic, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, pepper, corn flour slurry; goes with stir fried vegetables.
